Eye on Alumni: Matt Faiman gets hot for Central Michigan University baseball team
Michigans baseball team finally showed signs of getting on the right track with three wins over the weekend. The Wolverines stopped Eastern Michigan 5-2, Oakland 2-1 and went 12 innings to top Alma 4-3. Cole Martin (John Glenn) went 0-for-1 over the weekend with a walk for the Wolverines. Almas Richard Schreiber (Grayling) went seven innings against the Wolverines allowing seven hits and two earned runs with three walks and five strikeouts, while Alex Kravat (BC Western) went 0-for-2 with a walk.
The Central Michigan University baseball team ran into a tough Missouri squad over the weekend and dropped three of four games to the Tigers. Matt Faiman (Ogemaw Heights) was a bright spot for the Chippewas going 5-for-13 scoring two runs. Ryan Longstreth (Beaverton) had a rough outing giving up six earned runs in three innings with three walks.
